If you’re looking for some higher-end shoes, Red Wing and Ariat are two good brands to look at.
There are others like Chukkas, Beckman, Viberg, White’s, Nick’s, Wesco’s, Asics, Aldo, etc. Many of these brands are great and certainly have something that makes them unique to others.
However, there are a lot more things to consider aside from the price. You’ve to look at things like comfort materials in the shoes, the longevity, durability, how best they fit, and so on.
These are the things that’ll ultimately affect your buying decision especially if you don’t mind spending a good amount on your footwear.
Many people find these things in both Red Wings and Ariat. That’s why it’s sometimes difficult to choose between the two brands. In this article, I’m going to review the Red Wings Iron Rangers and the Ariat Midtown Rambler Casual Boots.
They have many other shoes but these two are in the same range. So, if you’re looking to get one, read to the end.

Red Wings Iron Rangers Review
The Red Wings Iron Rangers has been around for many years. The Iron Ranger is named after the miners on Minnesota’s northern iron ranges.
Minnesota was known to be the abode of ranges.
The state is also the largest producer of iron ore.
The word Iron Ranger comes from a place near Lake Superior which is located in the mid-east region of the United States. Lake Superior has several Minnesota ore deposits.
Due to our state of Minnesota being famous for its industrial ironworks, the Iron Ranger is a touchstone of our company and the United States of America.
The Red Wing Iron Rangers is made up of stitch-down welt construction.

Ariat Midtown Rambler Boots Review
Ariat Midtown Rambler Shoe is designed by one of America’s top brands for footwear and apparel, Ariat.
The Midtown Rambler is designed for the work industries and other outside activities.
The boot is constructed as daily wear and lavished with an exquisite appearance to match countryside fashion.
Comfort is dialed in the shoe so you can enjoy wearing it for long periods.
And it’s reasonably priced, so you can have a good alternative when brands like Red Wing are too expensive.
The beauty of any boot is the ability to withstand divergent terrains and seasonal changes. If it breaks down, then it’s probably not worth the investment.
To ensure their shoes hold out against different weather, Ariat stuffed them with a rubber sole that’s covered with fully imported leather. This means the boot will last long no matter where and when you’re wearing them.
Although the shoe should be comfortable out of the box in most cases, you may have to break them in before you start to enjoy them.
The shoe is lightweight but durable. The outsole is made from rubber material so it doesn’t come between you and your journey, throw long strides without thinking twice.
The footbed is cushioned while a heel stabilizer is attached to provide both stability and comfort.
This means you can turn it into your everyday boot. It also makes an excellent boot for those who stay out for long, thanks to the breathable lining that ensures air gets to your feet, keeping it dry and cool throughout your stay outside.
The insole of the Ariat Midtown Rambler is surrounded by the ATS sole support and the outsole is made from Duratread Outsole helping to match excellent wear resistances to exceptional performance.
The outsole is 100% rubber too so that it’s lightweight and easy to carry while also holding firmly on slippery surfaces.
The leather is 100% imported, and as far as I can tell, are of high quality. There aren’t many complaints about them wearing out prematurely.
The boot, like many other classics, maintains the conventional look.
While it might not be easy to separate when positioned against other shoes, its cowboy-style mien will quickly draw attention. The boot are an absolute match for the blue and most colored jeans.
As mentioned elsewhere in this article, these shoes are lightweight because the soles are constructed from rubber. They are designed to be worn for several hours without constraining the legs from fatigue.
Compared to the Redwing Iron Rangers, the Midtown Rambler Casual Boot is reasonably priced. It’s a lot cheaper than the Iron Rangers. The winner here is clearly Ariat.
Like all good things, there are definitely going to be some drawbacks. While the shoe scores high in comfort, style, durability, and the likes, there may be a few hiccups in the construction department.
The boots are wide and low, so they may not be very suitable for those with high arches or narrow heels. Therefore, this would be a great shoe for someone with low-mid arches and straight feet. Buy here!

Both Ariat and Redwing are good brands.
However, you probably have to choose one of them as most people will eventually do because of the cost. In terms of price, Ariat is less expensive even though its shoes may not boast the same quality as that of Red Wing.
