What Happened to HCL Handbags?
You used to be able to find HCL handbags for sale, especially on QVC.
But suddenly, they are scarce and a lot of users find they can’t find any of their bags anymore.
Is HCL still in business? Can you still find any of their bags? Most importantly, what is a suitable alternative to look out for?
What Happened to HCL Handbags?
HCL has closed down. If you’re finding it difficult to find their handbags from your favorite stores, this is the reason why.
Does that mean you can’t ever buy a HCL bag again? Of course not.
You’ll still be able to buy some of their bags, used and classic, from online retailers including QVC.
If you’re bent on getting one for yourself or your loved one, then it’s worth checking out some of these online stores.
You will surely find some you may like.
Where to Buy Used HCL Handbags
There are a lot of places you can search for HCL handbags.
I see Poshmark as the most popular. This site often has a lot of these bags on sale throughout the year.
They have become synonymous with classic, vintage, and used handbags.
Whether you’re looking for luxury bags that have gone out of production or regular handbags like HCL, you’re likely to find them here.
eBay was once the largest holder of these bags.
However, because of some not-so-honest practices of many of the sellers there, their popularity is dying down and not like before.
Usually, you’ll find used bags for brands like HCL, however, the price will be higher than others.
While eBay is still a solid choice, you should shop here only if you can pay higher or can’t find the bag elsewhere.
This site wasn’t as popular when I started. Or maybe I wasn’t just aware of them.
Right now, they have not just Manscipaged handbags, but many other brands.
They keep popping up when you search for discontinued or vintage handbags from premium and low-end brands alike.
Along with Walmart, Amazon controls the largest market share when it comes to fashion items.
However, in the market of bags, I don’t think they have as big an inventory as the likes of Poshmark.
Ultimately, if you look carefully enough, you may be able to find some gems here.
Aside from these, you can also check out Walmart, Etsy, QVC, Tradesy, etc.
Is HCL Still in Business?
As I mentioned above, HCL is out of business.
The brand is no longer in the business of making handbags.
So, you now have to look for alternatives or vintage from online stores.
HCL has gone the way of B Makowsky, Tignanello, Oryany, Perlina, Monsac, Kook, and even Emma Fox handbags.
All of these have been acquired or stopped production of bags despite having a good following.
Fortunately for HCL, there are a lot of stores where you can find some of their bags.
How Is HCL Regarded?
Reading reviews from customers and previous users of their handbags, it’s clear that this brand often makes adorable, beautiful, and high-quality handbags.
We can say all of these are subjective. But then, I’ve only come across praises for the company since I started reading about them.
So, the brand must be doing something right. Only that no one knows why they closed down abruptly.
What Are HCL Alternatives?
There are a lot of alternatives for HCL handbags.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to make recommendations now as brands get acquired or close down.
An excellent idea would have been to look at Nica, Big Buddha, Emma Fox, Perlina, Monsac, Kooba, Tignanello, B Makowsky, etc.
However, most if not all of these, have either been acquired or closed down.
My advice would be to check some of the stores I mentioned above to see if you can get good quality, used HCL Handbags from there.
